About the Team
You’ll be joining a growing Cyber underwriting team made up of Assistant Underwriters, Underwriters, and Development Underwriters, operating across both open market and e-trade platforms. With ambitious growth plans through to 2030, this is an exciting time to be part of a team focused on building a market-leading Cyber offering.
This role reports directly to the Cyber Team Leader and will play a key part in underwriting both new business and renewals within a dedicated Cyber unit.
The Role
As a Senior Cyber Underwriter, you will take ownership of underwriting activity while acting as a key referral point for the wider team. You’ll contribute to delivering strong growth, support team development, and build lasting broker relationships to position the business as a go-to market for Cyber risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to ambitious new business growth targets within the Cyber team
- Manage and negotiate key renewal accounts, with a focus on profitability and retention
- Underwrite Cyber risks in line with underwriting guidelines and authority levels
- Act as a referral point for colleagues, supporting technical development across the team
- Build and maintain strong trading relationships with broker partners
- Review and negotiate broker submissions, promoting product strengths to win business
- Manage cases from enquiry through to bind using internal workflow platforms
About You
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Cyber underwriting
- Strong experience across both new business and renewals
- Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Confident communicator, able to influence both internally and externally
- Experience with e-trade platforms (e.g. Acturis) is beneficial but not essential
- Comfortable supporting team members and handling referrals
