Avencia is partnered with leading insurer who are looking to recruit a new member into their newly established Schemes division.
The Schemes Deal Support role reports into the Head of Schemes Development. It plays a key part in the management, oversight, review, and onboarding of all scheme business within the Broker Channel. Close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Broker Development and Underwriting is essential to deliver positive outcomes and contribute to the growth of the schemes portfolio.
The core focus of this role is to support the Schemes Deal Manager and the Business Development team by collating information for new opportunities, supporting tender responses, and assisting with wider portfolio development.
The Schemes Deal Support position also contributes to the management of the opportunity pipeline, ensuring consistent responses using an established deal framework and providing support on key renewals.
Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of the delegated authority and portfolio opportunity pipeline, working closely with the Schemes Deal Manager and Business Development team.

Support the onboarding of new schemes and work with the Schemes Operations Manager to ensure facilities are ready to go live.

Collaborate with the Marketing team to build and maintain clear, consistent tender response documentation.

Assist the Business Development team on wider portfolio opportunities, using the deal framework to help secure new business.

Develop a strong understanding of the company’s broader value-added proposition, including any legal, tax, or consultancy support offered to scheme partners.

Demonstrate strong sales discipline through timely activity reporting, accurate CRM updates, and comprehensive documentation of meetings and opportunities.
Skills & Experience

Previous experience within the UK general insurance market, ideally involving delegated authority, schemes, or MGA-related work.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify effective solutions and drive positive outcomes.

High attention to detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate products and services clearly across multiple formats.

Understanding of project management principles and experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Proactive, self-driven, and commercially minded, with a desire to contribute to a market-leading schemes proposition.

Able to represent the company professionally and credibly with brokers, partners, and other industry stakeholders.
