Senior Claims Adjuster – Treaty Reinsurance
London | Office-based, five days a week
Avencia Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a specialist insurer for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join its Bespoke claims team in London.
This opportunity would suit an experienced treaty reinsurance claims professional who enjoys handling varied claims and working closely with underwriting and legal colleagues. The role has a cross-class element with the wider team handling a variety of specialist classes, including political risk, political violence, contingency and credit risk claims.
The role
- Handle treaty reinsurance claims, bringing technical expertise to a varied portfolio.
- Work closely with underwriters, in-house claims legal and wordings teams on claims issues.
- Build effective relationships with brokers and other stakeholders.
- Support colleagues across the wider Bespoke portfolio where required.
- Manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Skills & experience
Essential:
- Claims handling experience across one or more specialist classes, such as political risk, political violence, contingency or credit risk.
- Strong technical claims knowledge, gained within an insurer, reinsurer or broker.
- Confident managing complex claims and competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills
- A flexible approach and willingness to support colleagues across different classes of business.
Desirable:
- Experience handling treaty reinsurance claims.
