As Senior Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for handling a diverse portfolio of complex claims across:

Financial Lines (FIPI, Crime, Fidelity, D&O, E&O)

Global Construction

Solicitors (England & Wales – Large and SME)
-
USPI (Lawyers, Accountants, EPLI)
-
Cyber
-
US Medical Negligence
You will act as a key technical referral point, providing specialist knowledge and guidance, while ensuring best outcomes for clients and the business. This role also includes deputising for the Claims Manager when required, helping to shape a high-performing, well-regarded London Market claims function.
Key Responsibilities

Handle claims from first notification through to settlement with strong cost control and effective communication.

Act as subject matter expert and mentor to colleagues, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.

Engage with brokers, underwriters and clients to strengthen relationships and support profitable business growth.

Monitor and analyse claims data to identify trends, manage reserves, and provide insights to the business.

Lead on quality control, vendor management, and performance to ensure consistent, first-class service.
About you
-
10+ years of London Market claims experience across relevant lines of business.

Strong technical, legal, and regulatory knowledge within Financial & Professional Lines.

Proven ability to influence, negotiate and deliver solutions in high-pressure situations.

Experienced in managing complex claims processes, vendors, and costs.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-first approach.

Ability to coach, mentor and build capability within the team.

ACII (or equivalent) qualification desirable.
