Avencia are partnered with a well-established insurer who are looking to recruit an Underwriter in their Warranty & Indemnity team.
The team work across UK and European transactions, writing primary and excess business across a varied portfolio.
The team’s flat structure and busy portfolio offer plenty of deal exposure, with the opportunity to take ownership early and learn from experienced underwriters.
The Role
- Review submissions and draft NBIs.
- Review due diligence reports and prepare underwriting questions.
- Work on live deals from submission through to policy placement.
- Build broker relationships and support portfolio growth.
Skills & Experience
- Practical W&I experience in underwriting or broking.
- A good understanding of how W&I deals are placed.
- Experience working with submissions and NBIs.
- Strong communication skills and confidence managing competing deadlines.
